It’s easiest if you get a flight into Catania, around 40 minutes from Brucoli although many international flights land in Palermo (three hours away).

For those flying from London Luton to Catania, flights leave on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays direct with EasyJet.



If you are planning on flying from London Gatwick to Catania, flights are available every day of the week except Thursdays. Alternatively, London Stanstead have flights available on Wednesdays and Saturdays direct with Ryanair.

We booked our previous flights to Catania in January for our May visit. You are welcome to book at any time but we thought this was best for a more reasonable price.

CAR: Rental cars are recommended (check out Kayak), especially for those not staying in Brucoli or who want to explore Sicily.

Depending on where you are staying, your hotel may be able to provide a shuttle service or you can book an independent taxi or car transfer service.

The Commenda is about 15 minutes by car from Brucoli, for which we will be organising a transfer service from Brucoli. Therefore, when choosing your accommodations, we recommend you stay in a Hotel or one of the many Airbnbs in Brucoli or close by in Augusta (15 minutes away) and Syracusa (35 minutes away).
